Fashionista of the year?

Hey lovelies! I have just been nominated as «Fashionista of the year» by Femelle, and I am forever grateful. When I started to blog just a few months ago I never expected this. However, it gives me tons of motivation, no matter how the results will be. Femelle has a bad ass crew of girls blogging for them, and I am proud to be a part of this team. I wish all the girls good luck!

Just press the picture and it will take you straight to the voting page. THANK YOU! <3

Busy Bangkok

SHORTS: VINTAGE LEVIS // SHOES: ZARA // BAG: BALENCIAGA // SUNNIES: VINTAGE FOUND

Bangkok oh so busy. Getting around in Bangkok is a challenge, and a skill you need to develop sooner than later. The infrastructure is poorly developed, and the public transportation is rather limited relatively to the size of the city. This leads to the thousands of traffic jams and road blocks throughout the day. I don’t even wanna think about how many hours I have spent in a taxi just waiting. (An extra power bank and numerous of hours of scrolling Instagram have saved me here). That everything and everyone is out on the streets doesn’t exactly help the traffic. Cars, busses, scooters, taxis, food stalls, old ladies selling their things, pedestrians (because sidewalks are non existing), dogs, you name it.

So girl, if heading to Bangkok I recommend you to always add 15 min extra to your schedule, marry google map, jump on the BTS for longer distances and get comfortable with riding on the back of a taxi motorbike. Good luck, you are probably gonna be late anyways!

DRESS & SHOES: ZARA

Long skirt, long sleeves and a collar; too many red lights that just screams stay away! But hey, I fell in love with this dress the moment I put it on. The colors and the fabric of the dress is amazing. The cut and the shape also make it work, even though it has all the warning signals written all over.

Now I’m heading to a late lunch before we are bouncing over to Neon Market that just opened here in Bangkok. TTYL.

Meeting up with Espen after lunch today, showing him the new Emporium and EmQuartier. Super nice and luxurious shopping malls in Bangkok. This is where to go to find all the upscale brands, and they have everything from Chanel, Chloe and LV to the a bit rougher like Carven, Alexander Wang and Rag & Bone. Keeping the outfit simple today, spicing it up with my new awesome mesh shoes from Zara. Love it black, and love it mesh. Using my city and Celinés to rock it up a bit. My natural look is a bit to cute, and I always have to try to spice things up to not look like a little school girl. Oh them life struggles!

Long time no see for my outfit posts, but here you go! Finally found this dress here in Bangkok. Have been looking for it everywhere in Norway, but sold out everywhere. What better place to look than here where they keep their summer collections a bit longer than in Europe. Big patches, badges and pins is something we have seen a lot this summer, and almost all designers were showing it in their SS2016 collections. It even seems like this trend continues into the autumn. It creates a little more edge to you look, love it!

Black, and old time favorite that I not even compromise with the weather. An elegant, mysterious, sexy color that suits everyone. You neither have to be a punk rock chick nor a grieving widow to wear this color with pride. Black is always my go to if in a clothing emergency, and it always saves my day. And I have to admit, more that 50% of my closet is black. But hey, its for a reason, right?

SUSTAINABLE FASHION

This one mainly go to my Norwegian cupcakes; I’m proud to present that I have become a FJONGSTER! The Norwegian company FJONG are soon releasing, and I cannot wait. The team behind FJONG are fighting for sustainable fashion and trying to solve every girls issue with «nothing to wear». Do you have an expensive purse you never use, but don’t want to get rid of? Or maybe a special occasion where you don’t want to buy a new dress, but only borrow it for a night? I mean, we can do that for wedding dresses, but else?  FJONG is an online portal helping us with these issues, and by signing up to FJONG you are able to both rent or rent out your own clothes and accessories. You can increase your wardrobe and make it more exciting, but with a lower budget! And the bigger perspective of all of this; it is more sustainable for the environment. There will be many fashionistas renting out their wardrobes, and actress and super designer Pia Tjelta is already on the team with her many fabulous dresses. FJONG will be released already in November, but until then you can follow them on both Facebook (FJONG) and Instagram (@fjong.co).

Saturdaze

Happy Saturday! At the moment I am in Rørvik, but because of a high work load I have not been able to run around with my camera. That is such a shame, it is really beautiful here! The city is surrounded by archipelagos, and when the sun is shining its ah-mazing. We are leaving Rørvik tomorrow, heading further south back to my home town. Hopefully it will be sunny so that we can enjoy the beautiful scenery at its best while crossing the bridges out of here.

And when talking about sunny; playing with the sun and the camera is such an art. It is fascinating how much more interesting a picture can look by adding some magical sun lights. These pictures were taken a day me and my friend were out strolling and when the sun suddenly popped up we had to give it a go. This place looks rather tatty, but with some help from the sun we got ourselves a magical place. Don’t you agree?

Love my over knee boots from Isabel Marant by the way. These bad girls were bought during winter time, but in Norway, everything is all year clothes. Wishing you all a great weekend <3

DISTRESSED

Right now there is more than my denim skirt that is distressed. Oh my I’m stressing around trying to fix everything before I’m moving. Why did it not listen to the tips about preparing yourself early? I tend to take a lot of things for granted in the way that I expect everything to be possible to solve with an app. Call me crazy, I guess I’ve spent too much time on my phone.

Look inspired by Rihanna, just missing a denim shirt.
